UFC White House Will Feature 8 to 9 UFC Title Bouts: Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump predicts 8 to 9 UFC Championship Fights and revealed the UFC White House will feature 8 to 9 UFC Title Bouts.
Big surprises are coming as the historic UFC White House Event approaches, currently scheduled for June 14, at the White House Lawn. Now, the US President has surprised and shocked the UFC fans at the same time by revealing the shocking number of UFC Championship Fights for the UFC White House Card. Donald Trump, a huge fan of Ultimate Fighting Championship, said there will be “Eight or nine UFC Title Bouts” on the UFC White House Fight Card.
While talking to Fox News, Trump said:
“We’re going to have a lot of events. One of the things you’re going to have here is some of the UFC press. You’re going to have the fighters coming over, talking about the fights. It’s a big deal. The UFC’s going to be June 14 next year. The great Dana White is building an arena. They’re going to have eight or nine championship fights – the biggest fights they’ve ever had. Every one’s a championship fight, and every one’s a legendary type of fight.”
He added:
“He (Dana White) is actually holding back fights right now for six months so he can do it for 250. I think 250 is going to be amazing. I think the arena is going to have 5,000 to 6,000 seats, right in front of the front door of the White House, and 100,000 people in the back, where they’re putting up eight or 10 very big screens. That’s going to be an exciting night. So many people are asking for tickets.”
This shocking number, revealed by Trump, indicated he wants every potential UFC star to get a chance on the UFC White House Card. Moreover, eight or nine title bouts on a single card is staggering, which has not happened before, and is more than double the number of Championship fights for a single event. This number would shatter the previous record of three UFC Championship Fights on a single card, and it happens only on nine UFC Events. The recent example is UFC 300, which took place in April 2024.
However, since the announcement of the UFC White House Event, numerous UFC champions and contenders are trying to avail this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The prominent names are Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, Alex Pereira, Islam Makhachev, Bo Nickal, and others. On the other side, Dana is constantly insisting that no matchups will be decided until February 2026. However, he hinted that he would include the UFC Heavyweight Star, Derrick Lewis, in the UFC card if he beats Waldo Cortes-Acosta at UFC 324.
