Israel Adesanya is Open to Fighting at White House on One Condition

Israel Adesanya is open to fighting at White House on one condition: that is, to allow real MMA fans to attend the UFC White House Event. 

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya has clarified his stance on the historic UFC White House Event and says he would participate in the event on one condition. Adesanya was asked about his willingness to participate in Trump’s UFC White House Event at The MMA Hour by Ariel Helwani. He said he wouldn’t decline it, but has a condition on his side.

Adesanya revealed he is willing to fight at the UFC White House Bill, but in front of genuine UFC enthusiasts, instead of dignitaries. He explained that fighting in front of people who are not familiar with MMA is meaningless, and it could explain the connection and spirit of the event. 

“Maybe. It would be cool to fight somewhere historic, where nobody has fought before… I wouldn’t say no, but I hope there are some fans there like actual MMA fans. I don’t really want to fight in front of a bunch of suits who don’t really care about MMA. I want fans to be able to go to the fight and watch the show as well. Yeah, I wouldn’t say no.”

Adesanya, who is currently on a 3-fight losing streak, is set to face Joe Pyfer on UFC Fight Night on March 28. The Trump-backed UFC White House Event is set to take place on June 14 of this year. Dana White has announced that there will be no ticket sales, and dignitaries from around the world will attend the event. Adesanya’s statement about participation with one condition comes after Dana announced to start matchmaking after UFC 324.
