As confirmed by Dana White, CEO of UFC, the UFC is scheduled to host at the White House next year, near the 250th anniversary of the USA, but this will not come easily. Dana also recently revealed the renderings of the Octagon, and surely, the fight will take place on the South Lawn of the White House. Now it’s revealed by the CEO that the cost to replace the grass of the South Lawn will be $700,000.

Since the Octagon weighs around 15,000, which will sit directly in the heart of South Lawn, the grass will need to be replaced after the event. The CEO revealed that it is much challenging to organize the event, and they have been calculating the cost since the confirmation of the event. While talking to a news channel, Dana revealed the humongous amount of money that will be spent only on replacing the grass.

UFC’s CEO Dana White said:

“There is no doubt about it, this is going to be the most challenging event we have ever done. I’m coming off a stadium event, which I don’t like stadiums, to the thing that I hate the most in outdoor events. So yes, we got through the Sphere, made it through at Allegiant Stadium; now we head into Washington, D.C., on the White House Lawn. This is just one little piece I was talking about last night: To replace the grass, because we’re going to f**k up the South Lawn, $700,000 just to replace the grass.”
